Heard Island Satellite Imagery Mosaic 2017-2019

This dataset consists of satellite imagery mosaics of Heard Island constructed from Level 2A WorldView-2/3 imagery GeoTIFFs (WGS84, UTM). Mosaics were constructed for panchromatic (30cm resolution), 4-band multispectral (1.2m resolution) and pansharpened (30cm resolution) imagery.List of imagery used:• WorldView West – 2 March 2017 (1 xWV3) - DigitalGlobe-Maxar image ID: 10400100292FF000• WorldView Central – 13 January 2019 (1 xWV3) - DigitalGlobe-Maxar image ID: 104001004687BE00• WorldView East – 13 January 2019 (1 xWV3) - DigitalGlobe-Maxar image ID: 1040010046C48A00 • WorldView South – 10 March 2019 (1 xWV3) - DigitalGlobe-Maxar image ID: 10040010049D0D400• WorldView HI East Extension - 31 January 2019 (WV3) – Maxar Image ID: 1040010046961700 • WorldView HI Shag Is Extension - 10 March 2019 (WV3) – Maxar Image ID: 104001004A6A5100 • WorldView HI West Extension - 2 March 2017 (WV3) – Maxar Image ID: 10400100292FF000 • WorldView Infill Inc. Azorella Peninsula - 10 March 2019 (WV3) – Maxar Image ID: 1040010049D0D400 Due to the consistent cloud coverage there was no suitable imagery available over the centre of Heard Island (Big Ben) for this time period. This resulted in an area of missing data over the centre of the mosaic. An earlier QuickBird image captured 4 February 2009 (QB_HeardIsland_04Feb09_z43_Multi.tif) can be used to cover this area to complete the mosaic if needed.
