Crowdworker Gamification Study Data – Game On? Exploring Subgroup Differences (Study 1 & Study 2)
收藏资源简介:
Dataset employed for the statistical analyses presented in the paper “Game On? Exploring Subgroup Differences in the Effects of Gamification on Task Motivation in Crowdsourcing.” The purpose of the paper was to investigate whether gamification affects crowdworkers’ enjoyment, engagement, and performance in microtasks, and whether these effects differ across demographic subgroups. The data was collected via the Microworkers.co platform. The dataset consists of two CSV files corresponding to two user studies: valid_data_study_1.csv – Data from the exploratory study (Study 1), including demographic information (age, ageGroup, gender, continent), crowdworking experience (crowdWorking, imageAnnotation), task version (appVersion), and outcome measures (mean_enjoyment_score, mean_score, no_sessions) for 89 crowdworkers who passed all reliability checks. valid_data_study_2.csv – Data from the confirmatory study (Study 2), including the same variables as Study 1, for 471 crowdworkers who passed all reliability checks. Both files include only corwdworkers who met the pre-defined quality criteria described in the paper. The dataset allows replication of the analyses on enjoyment, engagement, and performance, as well as subgroup analyses by gender, annotation experience, and crowdworking frequency.
