Online water isotopic composition in snowflakes and atmospheric water vapor at Dumont d'Urville, East Antarctica (2023)

This dataset accompanies the publication "Combined and autonomous online measurement of water isotopes in snowflakes and atmospheric water vapor in East Antarctica" and contains the measurements used in the study to evaluate a prototype autonomous system for the online isotopic analysis of precipitating snowflakes and atmospheric water vapor at Dumont d'Urville (DDU) station, East Antarctica (66.4°S, 140.01°E). The dataset is organized into three precipitation case studies in coastal East Antarctica. For each case study, three data files are provided: Atmospheric water vapor measurements, including calibrated humidity and water vapor isotope observations recorded continuously by the laser spectrometer. Manual precipitation samples, collected and analyzed in the laboratory for their isotopic composition. Processed online snowflake measurements, containing the isotopic composition of precipitating snowflakes retrieved from the autonomous online sampling system after application of the processing method described in the associated publication. The processing methodology, instrumental setup, calibration procedures, are fully described in the associated publication.
