Correlation analysis of endophytic microbiota and shikonin accumulation in A. euchroma (Royle) Johnst. across geographical origins

This study enriched the research on the diversity of endophytes in the root tissues of A. euchroma from different geographical regions and explored the differences in endophytic communities. An analysis of the relationships between endophytes from different geographical regions and the contents of shikonin components revealed the potential role of endophytes in the accumulation of active ingredients in A. euchroma. These findings provide important information for the further exploration and application of endophytic resources of A. euchroma. The cultivation of A. euchroma is expected to improve the quality of Arnebia Radix by optimizing the endophytic environment.
