MODIS map of Hielo Patagónico Sur (Southern Patagonia Icefield), 2002-4

This dataset contains the image map used for mapping snowlines for the paper:<br><br>De Angelis, Hernán. "Hypsometry and sensitivity of the mass balance to changes in equilibrium-line altitude: the case of the Southern Patagonia Icefield." <i>Journal of Glaciology</i> 60.219 (2014): 14-28.<br><br>The image map was compiled by averaging seven cloud-free images acquired by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on 5, 16 and 17 February 2002; 5, 6 and 7 February 2004; and 10 March 2004.<br><br>The dataset contains three images:<br><br>- HPS-MODIS-543RGB-2002-4_base-image_geotiff.tif<br>geocoded GeoTIFF image<br><br>- HPS-MODIS-543RGB-2002-4_base-image.png<br>same as above, but as simple PNG<br><br>- HPS-MODIS-543RGB-2002-4_glacier-inventory.png<br>same as above, with glacier inventory and snowlines (with error bounds) superimposed, as described in the paper.<br>
