Livestock production sites

Some types of livestock kept at one location must be reported to the Swedish Board of Agriculture. The animals to be notified to the Board of Agriculture are: * Cattle * Pigs * Sheep * Goats * Poultry The place is then given a production plate number for the purpose of tracing animals from one place to another in the event of an outbreak of an infectious animal disease. A place number consists of the country code SE plus six digits. The place of production number is linked to the establishment or place where the activity is carried out. The basic principle is that a production site number refers to a building for animals that are mainly indoors, or a holding if there are a number of densely spaced buildings that clearly form a unit. The geographical layout of the location determines whether one or more numbers are needed. The pastures are less than 500 metres apart as the crow flies, and there are no other cloven-hoofed animals belonging to anyone else between the places, it is one and the same place of production. If the distance is more than 500 metres or if there are other biungulates belonging to someone else between the places, the places shall have different production place numbers. PPN data: •the type of animal present at the place of production. Sometimes, for example, a truck or trailer needs to have a production location number. Vehicle production location number is required in the following cases: •animals from several places of production are transported together and then left at several places of production •the keeper of the animal at the place of dispatch or destination has no knowledge of each other. If the animals are on their way directly to slaughter, no production location number is required for the transport.
