资源简介:
Unwanted glucose absorption remains a major drawback of peritoneal dialysis treatment. Recently we found that phloretin, a non-selective blocker of faciltative glucose channels (GLUTs), acts to reduce glucose absorption thereby improving osmotic water removal during peritoneal dialysis. Experimental peritoneal dialysis was conducted on fifty healthy Sprague-Dawley rats. The animals were exposed to glucose-based dialysis fluid containing five different concentrations of phloretin. To determine the plasma-to-dialysate transport, we used radiolabeled 18F-deoxyglucose., , , # Data from: effects of phloretin therapy on water and glucose transport during experimental peritoneal dialysis: a dose-response study
