Connection have also been made between the NHSRS core and the Greater Golden Horseshoe Natural Heritage System. Please refer to the Natural Heritage System and Restoration Strategy for information. This layer creation involved using the Greater Golden Horseshoe Natural Heritage System provided by MNRF as reference. Landcover and ortho-imagery initially used is now outdated. Refer to section 3.3 in the LSRCA's NHSRS: https://lsrca.on.ca/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Natural-Heritage-Systems-Restoration-Strategy-opt.pdf Core features from adjacent subwatersheds that were within 300 metres of each other and 240 metres from the Lake Simcoe shoreline were identified and confirmed by a Natural Heritage Ecologist as being Regional Linkages. Linkages were also identified and labeled between core feature and features from the Greater Golden Horseshoe Natural Heritage System.
