资源简介:
Sleep deprivation (SD) and obesity are both quite common in modern society. These two clinical conditions are now recognized as a serious problem. because both are important for maintaining physical health as well as mental health. Recently, the microbiome has emerged as a significant component to human health and disease. SD and obesity frequently coexist, research on the combined consequences of sleep deprivation and high-fat diets has been limited. In this study, we aimed to investigate the gut microbiota and host responses to SD and high fat diet (HFD) induced obesity. In addition, we tried to find key mediators of microbiota-gut-brain axis (GBA). Here, C57BL/6J mice were divided into four groups based on whether they were sleep deprived or not, and whether they were fed standard chow diets (SCD) or high-fat diets (HFD). Then, we did fecal microbiome shotgun sequencing, gut transcriptome analysis by RNA sequencing, and brain mRNA expression analysis using the NanoString nCounter Mouse Neuroinflammation Panel.
