Dataset supporting: Mesopredator diet varies with livestock management systems

Dataset supporting the study of culpeo fox (Lycalopex culpaeus) ecology in relation to livestock management systems in northwestern Patagonia, Argentina. The dataset includes records of frequency of occurrence and camera trap activity records, as well as prey identified from fecal samples, collected across sites under contrasting livestock management systems, including extensive sheep ranching (ESR) and small family farms (SFF). Data were collected between March and May 2018 and were used to evaluate variation in ecological patterns and diet composition associated with management practices. The dataset includes variables such as site, management type, activity records, potential prey, and frequency of occurrence. These data were used for statistical analyses of variation among livestock systems.
