Surveillance of Antimicrobial Resistance through Genomic Profiling of Retail Meat Isolates in Kosovo

This study uses whole genome sequencing to investigate antimicrobial resistance in bacterial isolates from retail meat in Kosovo. It identifies resistance genes and plasmids in Escherichia coli and provides the first genomic data on resistance trends in the region. The results support global efforts to monitor and address antimicrobial resistance.
