Example granular material simulation data for the Pysammos Python package

Example data for Pysammos Python package. They have also been shown in the journal article Elijas-Parra et al. (2026) "Pysammos: A Python-based Coarse-Graining tool to analyse the rheology of granular materials" (in preparation). In this folder you will find the following example data from simulations carried out with MFiX-DEM, and a script that runs the discrete-to-continuum post-processing wiht Pysammos. These correspond to the examples provided in the GitHub repository. 1. Bedload transport simulation It's a DEM-CFD 2D simulation with polydisperse mixture of non-spherical particles. It includes data analysis in Python. 2. Erodible bed simulation It's a DEM 3D simulation with polydisperse mixture of spherical particles. It includes data analysis in Python. 3. Impact cratering simulation It's a DEM 3D simulation with polydisperse mixture of spherical particles. 4. Jannsen pile simulation It's a DEM 2D simulation with polydisperse mixture of spherical particles. It includes data analysis in Python. 5. Magma conduit simulation It's a DEM-CFD 2D simulation with polydisperse mixture of non-spherical particles. It includes data analysis in Python.
