This dataset contains the data related to the article "Learning and Motivational Impact of Using a Virtual Reality Serious Video Game to Learn Scrum" with DOI 10.1109/TG.2022.3213127. This dataset contains data of 78 software engineering students, 25 of which were enrolled in the Software Process Engineering course (SPE) and 53 of which were enrolled in the Project and Risk Management course (PRM). The first tab of the file contains the pre-test and post-test scores, and the resulting Learning gain for each student of the SPE group, whereas the second tab of the file contains the results of a perceptions questionnaire of the SPE group. The thrid tab of the file contains the pre-test and post-test scores, and the resulting Learning gain for each student of the PRM group, whereas the fourth tab of the file contains the results of a perceptions questionnaire of the PRM group. All data was anonymized so that the identity of the participants cannot be ascertained. The aforementioned article can be accessed at https://doi.org/10.1109/TG.2022.3213127.
