Male body mass was from (a) just before, during, or just after the mating season vs (b) just before, during, or just after first emergences of weanlings from their natal burrow entrances I defined the mating season as the time interval between (and including) the first copulation and the last copulation. I defined "weanings" as the time interval just before, during, or just after offspring were first emerging from their natal nursery-burrows The number above each SEM line indicates the number of females weighed. All body mases are in GRAMS. These data used for Fig 14.11 Bottom, in Hoogland 2026. This file ready for longterm storage on 05 May 2025. I considered data from the same prairie dog in different years to be independent. My notes say that I verified all numbers in this file TWO TIMES, but as of 08 May 2026 I cannot find the raw data. I have these data somewhere, but I just cannot find them. I could regenerate them from marking sheets, if necessary, but that would be onerous. BGUW = data from black-tailed, Gunnison's. Utah, and white-tailed prairie dogs (all four USA species) Filename: Fig 14.11, Bottom, BGUW, Males, body mass at mating vs weanings, 08 May 2026
