Czuckermand et al. 2026 Urban renaturation Dataset

We performed a study to experimentally evaluate the effects of various renaturation methods (adding compost, wood chip and gravel, either alone or in combination, to bare soil) on the two main groups of soil mesofauna (springtails and mites) at two temperatures in order to simulate the urban heat island phenomena. The experiment was conducted over nine weeks in 96 microcosms installed in climatic chambers at 20°C and 30°C.
