Metagenomic sequencing of the rumen of cattle (Bos Taurus), sheep (Ovis aries), reindeer (Rangifer tarandus) and red deer (Cervus elaphus)

Metagenomic data was generated for rumen contents samples taken from two domesticated ruminant species (cattle and sheep) and two non-domesticated species (reindeer and red deer). This data was used to generate metagenome assembled genomes and to enable the taxonomic and functional comparison of the microbiota of these species.
