Lamprotornis superbus TagSeq for iridescent and non-iridescent feathers

TagSeq reads from libraries with total RNA input extracted from Lamprotornis superbus feathers, sampled in Kenya, from 12 adult sexually mature starlings, 5 females and 7 males. For each bird, 3 non-iridescent feathers from the breast, and 3 iridescent feathers from the back were sampled. The calamus of each feather was excised and extracted. Gene counts used for differential expression and gene network analysis.
