Foxk1 plays a role in cardiac system development

Cardiac repair and regeneration decreases as post neonatal development. Using ATAC seq we see the role of Foxk1 in cardiac development. We look at global chromatin landscape of and compare the WT to the FOXK1 Knockout condition at Day 3 and Day 5. We see that the most significant pathways for the WT include cardiac development biological processes vs Knockout, where we see the most significant pathways for other cell lineages. These results help us see that Foxk1 plays a role in cardiac development during the neonatal phase.
