REDIAM. WMS HIC 1510-0 Mediterranean salt steppes (Limonietalia) in marshes and coastal areas (*)

WMS service corresponding to Habitat of Priority Community Interest 1510 when located in marshes and coastal areas. It is a habitat consisting of communities of Mediterranean distribution rich in rosulada perennial species (Limonium spp.) and albardinal or berceal species (Lygeum spartum) that usually occur on temporarily humid soils, although not flooded, by saline water from the surface trawl of salts in solution. During the summer they are exposed to a very high desiccation, which leads to the formation of saline efflorescences. They frequently appear associated with saline complexes of endorheic basins, where they occupy the driest parts with respect to the gradient of soil moisture, although they can also appear in the driest band of marshes and coastal salt flats.
