Share of people buying gold in Japan 2023, by gender

The majority of Japanese people had never bought gold themselves before, according to a survey conducted in January 2023. While 11.4 percent of women had at least received such precious metals or items made of it, 38.4 percent had neither bought nor received such items before. At the same time, almost 59 percent of men had no experience with buying gold or gold items.

根据2023年1月进行的一项调查，日本绝大多数民众在购买黄金方面并无个人经验。在受访女性中，有11.4%的人至少曾收到过此类贵金属或由其制成的物品，而38.4%的女性此前既未购买亦未收到过此类物品。与此同时，近59%的男性在购买黄金或黄金制品方面并无任何经历。
