Dance Experience Enhances Visual Rhythm Perception: Evidence from Behavioral and fMRI Data

This dataset accompanies a study investigating how dance experience influences visual rhythm perception, combining behavioral performance and fMRI data. Fifty-one participants (24 experienced dancers and 27 non-dancers) completed a synchronization-continuation task under two types of visual stimuli: point-light figures and naturalistic dance movements, with varying levels of kinematic complexity. This dataset is intended to support replication, reanalysis, and further research on the neural and cognitive mechanisms underlying rhythm perception, sensorimotor expertise, and action observation.
