资源简介:

19th Century British Oakeshott Collection Catalogue Number: OC074 The second example of the Pattern 1796 Light Cavalry Saber in the Oakeshott collection, this particular sword is said to have been carried at the battle of Waterloo. Heavier than the Officer's variant, the Trooper's variant of the Pattern 1796 has a broader spatulated tip and a more simplified grip. In addition, the scabbard is more robust, providing extra protection for the weapon. This specific sword is especially interesting due to the modified grip. Heavy leather wraps the original grip, and is attached by small nails. Near the throat of the scabbard, the insignia of the Percy Tenantry Volunteers can be found. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
