Thermomyces dupontii, previously known as Talaromyces thermophilus, is a thermophilic fungus found in decomposing plant material and a potential source of thermophilic enzymes. It grows with wheat bran or xylan, but not cellulose, as sole carbon source. It is known to produce phytase, beta D-xylosidase, beta-galactosidase, beta-glucosidase, and xylanase. This project has sequenced and assembled its genome and transcriptome and predicted its genes.
