资源简介:
The dataset is the basis of the article "Profiling crop pollinators: life-history traits predict habitat use and crop visitation by Mediterranean wild bees" by G. Pisanty and Y. Mandelik, Ecological Applications (in press), http://dx.doi.org/10.1890/14-0910.1. Two datasheet files are included in the dataset:
The file "species affinity data" displays the abundance of each bee species within two subsets of the main dataset, used to calculate agricultural affinity and crop affinity (as defined in the paper), respectively. The agricultural affinity subset compares the abundance of species among field interior, field edge and semi-natural habitats. The crop affinity subset compares the abundance of individuals netted from sunflower vs. watermelon vs. wildflowers, air or ground, or passively collected in pan traps.
The file "diversity vs. land cover" displays the wild bee abundance and species richness in each edge plot, and the percent semi-natural habitat surrounding the plot at different radii. Abundance and species richness are shown for the entire bee community, for individuals netted from crop flowers vs. those collected from ground-level and raised traps, and for species with high vs. low agricultural affinities.
For additional information regarding the data, see the Ecological Applications paper.
