Netherlands: gross profit margin of DIY stores 2016-2022

As of 2022, the gross profit margin of DIY stores in the Netherlands amounted to some 38 percent. It is a slight increase compared to 2018 when the margin totaled some 37 percent. Overall, the gross profit margin of Dutch DIY stores has stayed quite consistent over the years. The total shop floor area of DIY retail stores in the Netherlands increased in the period between 2015 to 2020. In 2015, the shop floor area amounted to approximately 2.36 million square meters, whereas by 2019 it had increased to 2.52 million square meters.
