REFLECTIVE THINKING IN SACRED TEXTS: A CONCEPTUAL MODEL AND COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS

This article presents a comparative scholarly analysis of reflective thinking concepts articulated in the sacred texts of various religious and spiritual traditions, including the Avesta, Buddhist teachings, the Bible, the Torah, the Psalms, the Quran, and the Bhagavad Gita. The study explores tradition-specific terminologies and reflective practices, such as muhasabah in Islam, vipassana in Buddhism, and the “Humata, Hukhta, Huvarshta” principle in Zoroastrianism, identifying both convergences and divergences among them.
