Characteristics of Pediatric Patients and Cutaneous Adverse Event (cAE) Features Among ICI Therapy Subgroups

In this study, we characterized cAE features in a double-institutional pediatric cohort. While previous trials reported cAEs in three-percent of children, we observed cAEs in thirty-percent of our cohort, suggesting possible underdiagnosis. Clinical features of cAEs were similar to those reported in adults, with a high proportion of “maculopapular” reactions. The “maculopapular” descriptor may conflate different cAE subtypes, highlighting the need for enhanced clinical categorization. We observed infrequent treatment for cAEs, warranting further investigation.
