Constructing a Municipal-Level Environmental Justice Index (EJI) for the Pilcomayo River Basin, Bolivia
收藏资源简介:
This project contains the data and code used to construct a municipal-level Environmental Justice Index (EJI) for the Bolivian departments within the Pilcomayo River Basin. The EJI is designed to capture multiple dimensions of vulnerability beyond direct exposure to mining-related contamination. It integrates indicators of health vulnerability, socioeconomic conditions, and environmental exposure/infrastructure at the municipal level. This EJI forms the social vulnerability component of a broader hazard risk index for the Pilcomayo River Basin, which also incorporates environmental contamination measures (e.g., water and sediment hazard quotients) and population density. For full methodological details and results, see the associated project report.
