Estimates suggest that annual e-commerce sales in Chile will reach around 11.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2024, nearly doubling the pre-COVID-19 2019 figure. The most significant surge occurred the following year, with B2C e-commerce sales in the Latin American country rising by approximately 55 percent. The number of digital shoppers in the country has rapidly increased, reaching approximately 8.7 million by 2024. As online shopping gains popularity, its segment is capturing an increasing share of sales in Chile. Forecasts indicate that B2C e-commerce will constitute 14 percent of total retail sales in Chile in 2023. Positioning in Latin AmericaChile held the fourth-largest e-commerce market share in Latin America in 2023, accounting for about 6.3 percent of regional e-commerce revenues. However, its position is gradually improving, with an estimated online shopping growth rate of more than 26 percent in 2023, behind Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina.
