Effect of the North Atlantic SST in GA7 - Monerie et al.

The sample of data published here is used to assess the effect of different anomalies in North Atlantic Sea Surface Temperatures, including its subpolar section. We performed several atmosphere-only experiments with GA7. These shared data could be used to reproduce the results shown in Monerie et al. We present the data in the study as mentioned above. Further data are available upon reasonable request. For more details about the metadata/having more data, please contact me at p.monerie@reading.ac.uk We share files for five experiments. A control simulation (CTRL) upon which we added a temperature anomaly, with a warming of the North Atlantic Ocean (Aplus), a cooling of the North Atlantic Ocean (Aminus), a warming of the North Atlantic subpolar gyre (SPGplus), and a cooling of the North Atlantic subpolar gyre (SPGminus). Each file contains the average for the DJFM period (average over nine winters), and there are ten ensemble members (which differ from their initial conditions – starting the simulation from a different day for the atmosphere). We share here data for the surface air temperature, sea level pressure, and 850 hPa zonal wind speed.
