This study addresses the key role of the extracytoplasmic function (ECF) sigma factor DdvS in the Gram-negative bacterium Myxococcus xanthus. It allows us to determine its regulon and it shows that the expression of ddvS and its regulón depends on the global regulatory complex CarD-CarG. Overall design: Four loop experiment, each test and its reference were repeated and analyzed twice. At least three biological replicates were used for each condition (wild type DK1622 and its derivative strains MR1543, MR1544 and MR1545)
