Commissioner Districts
收藏资源简介:
This data set, Commissioners District, consists of polygons defining the Hillsborough County Commissioner Districts. The dataset was developed by Hillsborough County in conjunction with the County Attorney’s Office using 2020 census data. The purpose of this layer is to divide voters by Hillsborough County Commissioner District for mapping and analysis purposes. This feature class is stored in NAD 1983 State Plane Florida West coordinates (FIPS Zone 902) with ground coordinates expressed as US Survey feet. The dataset is updated every 10 years with new census data, or as the Charter Review Board dictates. The Charter Review Board is appointed every five years, per a mandate by the Hillsborough County Charter, to conduct a comprehensive study of any or all phases of county government. The Board of County Commissioners selects its 14 members. Each commissioner appoints two members from their district, none of whom can be an elected official. Hillsborough County operates under a home rule charter, approved by Hillsborough County voters in 1983 and amended by Hillsborough County voters in 2002, 2004, and 2012.
