Santa Monica 800 m Mound MBARI Low Altitude Survey System near-bottom processed swath bathymetry gridded data (ESRI ASCII format) at 5 cm resolution (2018)

This processed swath bathymetry data set of the actively seeping Santa Monica 800 m Mound offshore of Southern California is in ESRI ASCII raster grid format with 5 cm lateral resolution, and is in geographic coordinates. This data set was collected with the MBARI Low Altitude Survey System (LASS) on four ROV Ventana dives in 2018, missions 20180516d1, 20180517d1, 20180518d1, and 20180519d1 (investigators David Caress, Charles K. Paull, Eve Lundsten, Jennifer Paduan), using a Reson 7125 400 kHz multibeam sonar while the ROV was flown at 0.2 m/s with a 3-m stand-off from the seafloor. Funding was provided by a grant from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation to MBARI.
