Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation at Oak Villa, Widnes, Halton, Cheshire, April 2023

This collection consists of images, GIS and site record data from an archaeological evaluation by Oxford Archaeology. Work occurred development at Oak Villa, Widnes, Cheshire in April 2023. A total of ten trenches were excavated across the site. Four trenches were found to contain archaeological remains comprising a trackway, ditches, a pit, and a posthole. It was noted that the features encountered within the trenches did not correlate accurately with those detected during the geophysical survey.
