Predation of Indian house gecko by huntsman spider at Kolkata, India, 12 December, 20221

Video showing a Heteropoda venatoria (giant crab spider) preying on a Hemidactylus flaviviridis (Indian house gecko). First report of this kind of predation in the natural habitat of the species observed. The spider is holding a live gecko in its pedipalps and the chelicerae are pressed and inserted into the gecko's body.
