资源简介:
Infections caused by the Candida genus, including Candida glabrata, pose significant clinical challenges due to their ability to colonize diverse host niches, where metabolic interactions between the pathogen and host play a pivotal role in disease progression. As central metabolites in human physiology, lactate and its salts serve not only as energy sources but also as key environmental metabolites at infection sites (e.g., the vagina) and as critical signaling molecules regulating microbial virulence. By comparing the transcriptional and metabolic profiles of C. glabrata in response to lactate, this study investigates the impact of lactate on C. glabrata.
