CONCEPTUALIZATION OF ONOMATOPOIC UNITS IN DIFFERENT TYPOLOGICAL SYSTEMS: A COMPARATIVE STUDY BASED ON THE MATERIAL OF RUSSIAN, ENGLISH, AND UZBEKISTAN

The article presents a comparative study of the conceptualization of onomatopoetic units in Russian, English, and Uzbek, representing different typological systems. The research examines the transition from perceptual experience to mental representation and concept formation. Based on data from the three languages, phonosemantic patterns, morphological models, reduplication processes, and mechanisms of metaphorical extension are analyzed. Special attention is paid to national-cultural specificity and typological distinctions (analytic, synthetic, and agglutinative language types). The findings demonstrate that onomatopoetic units function not merely as phonetic phenomena but as cognitively motivated conceptual structures reflecting the interaction between language and thought.
