PIWI-interacting RNAs (piRNAs) silence transposable elements in animal gonads. Recently, HSP90 has been implicated in the piRNA pathway. Here by utilizing a silkworm ovary-derived cell line BmN4 and HSP90 inhibitor 17-AAG, we analyzed a role of HSP90 in the piRNA pathway.
