资源简介:
This dataset includes high-resolution hydrometeorological observations collected in the Ze'elim Basin, located in the Judean Desert, Israel, between October 2020 and April 2023. The dataset comprises:
- Rainfall data from backscattering weather radar, calibrated using field rain gauges.
- Runoff data obtained from pressure transducers installed at key points along the channel network. The channel flow discharge was calculated using Mannig's Equation.
- Geospatial data, includes shapefiles of the Ze'elim Basin and the basin instrument netwrok.
The dataset focuses on 12 flash flood events selected for detailed analysis.
The primary purpose of this dataset is to facilitate research on flash flood generation and spatial rainfall-runoff relationships in arid to hyper-arid environments. It provides a rare, high-resolution record from a minimally disturbed arid watershed, useful for validating hydrological models, studying scaling behavior, and improving early warning systems.
Rainfall indices include: Rain position (D1,-), concentration (D2,-), rain duration (hr), Rainfall depth (mm), maximum rainfall intensity (mm/hr), and rain core coverage (RCC, -).
Runoff indices include: flow duration (hr), lag time (hr), runoff coefficient (-), runoff depth (mm), runoff volume (m^3), and peak discharge (m^3/sec).
Detailed information about the indices can be found in the manuscript.
