资源简介:
Selected hydrophilic polymers can be grafted with hydrophobic groups, thus obtaining amphiphilic polymers. Hydrophobically modified polymers dispersed in an aqueous environment spontaneously assemble into nanometric structures resembling micelles with polymer chains on the outside and hydrophobic groups forming the cores. Due to their high stability, low toxicity, non-immunogenicity, biodegradability and biocompatibility, the presence of various reactive groups, biopolymers such as glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) are intensively studied to develop nanoscale drug delivery systems for therapeutic purposes in the treatment of various diseases. GAGs are a group of naturally occurring polysaccharides found in the extracellular matrix (ECM) of living organisms. This group includes compounds such as hyaluronic acid, heparin and chondroitin sulfate. The data set contains a number of results describing the synthesis of hydrophobically modified polymers based on glycosaminoglycans, as well as their physicochemical characterization: determination of the sizes of the obtained nanostructures using the dynamic light scattering (DLS) method and zeta potential, determination of the critical aggregation concentration (CAC) and measurements of the interactions of nanostructures with imitations of natural lipid membranes (lipid membranes) using differential scanning calorimetry.
