Submarine Landslide Inventory for Coseismic Landslides Triggered by the 2016 Kaikōura Earthquake in the Upper Kaikōura Canyon, New Zealand

Overview Coseismic submarine landslide inventory for the upper Kaikōura Canyon (New Zealand) and the associated morphologic mapping used to interpret source areas. Landslides were triggered by the 2016 Mw 7.8 Kaikōura Earthquake. The inventory was built from pre‑ and post‑event multibeam echosounder surveys acquired in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2018. Rasters from 2015 and 2017 were prioritised to attribute change to the main shock; some aftershock-triggered failures are possible.
