Replication Data for: "Maria da Penha Law and Judicial Resistance: heteroframing gender-based violence in Belo Horizonte, Brazil"

There are two datasets related to the article "Maria da Penha Law and Judicial Resistance: heteroframing gender-based violence in Belo Horizonte, Brazil":
a) data on a sample of protective order cases from Minas Gerais' State Court (TJMG) involving women committing domestic violence against other women (2009-12/01/2022, only Belo Horizonte), providing sentencing patterns of enforcement and granting of protective orders related to the Maria da Penha Law;
b) data on a sample of protective order cases from TJMG involving only queer women (bisexual, lesbian, and pansexual) (2009-12/01/2022, only Belo Horizonte), providing sentencing patterns of enforcement and granting of protective orders related to the Maria da Penha Law.

Furthermore, since this is a mixed-methods study, attached is the translated interview protocol used with twenty legal professionals (police chiefs, prosecutors, and judges) with some experience with enforcing the Maria da Penha Law in Belo Horizonte since its enactement.
