This data release includes 12 data files documenting climatic, hydrologic, and mosquito variables collected at seven riparian study sites on three streams located on the windward flank of Mauna Kea on the Island of Hawai'i from 2022 to 2024. Daily ambient temperature, ambient relative humidity, cumulative precipitation, stream pool water temperatures, and stream height (stage) were recorded at a frequency of every 15 minutes unless otherwise noted. Sites span an altitudinal range from 1100 to 1750 meters above sea level. The data release also includes quantitative and qualitative data on mosquito larval habitat (stream pools) and the occurrence and abundance of larval mosquitoes. Individual files include mean number of available larval mosquito habitat (stream pools), percent larval mosquito occupancy, relative abundance of larval mosquitoes, and categorical data on habitat variables. The study was conducted by the U.S. Geological Survey, Pacific Island Ecosystems Research Center personnel in collaboration with biologists with the University of Hawai'i at Hilo, Hawai'i Cooperative Studies Unit.
