A study of the cultivable bacterial diversity from two sites with different physical characteristics, the Poza Azul and the hypersaline Archaean Domes in the Cuatro Cienegas Basin, was carried out. Hill numbers showed that microbial diversity from both sites is high, which gave precedent to the search for extremophile microorganisms in different sites throughout the Valley.
