Pezoporus occidentalis Genome sequencing and assembly

Pezoporus occidentalis (Night Parrot) genome project is to develop a genomic resource for conservation biology, phylogeny and phylogeography of one of the most endangered Australian birds and its similarly threatened congeners. The broader project is collaborative involving CSIRO, Western Australian Museum, Perth Zoo, BioPlatforms Australia, DNA Zoo and the Threatened Species Initiative.
