The series consists of spiral-bound books recording admission and discharge details of youths sent to Endeavour House at Tamworth.There are separate books for admissions and discharges. The books have a double page format arranged by week commencing, with entries on each page recorded chronologically by admission or discharge date. In the front of each volume there is a page of instructions for completing the records, and explanations of column headings.Details recorded in the admission book include admission number, surname, given names, date of birth, time of admission, date of admission, source type (e.g. police, court), admission status (e.g. transit, committal, remand), offences/complaints, projected discharge date, accommodation prior to admission, employment status prior to admission, general medical condition, and discharge number (which can be cross referenced to the discharge book).Details recorded in the discharge books include discharge number, surname, given names, date of birth, date of discharge, discharge reason, discharge placement (e.g. parents, court, gaol), discharge destination (address or name of place), and admission number (which can be cross referenced to the admission book).
