Autoza Irish Used Car Index — Q2 2026

Quarterly market report on the Irish used-car market for Q2 2026 (1 April to 30 June 2026).

The dataset captures asking prices by segment, county-level price differences, days-to-sell, EV vs ICE listing share, and the ten most-listed models. Figures are computed from active listings on Autoza.ie at the snapshot date (1 May 2026, n = 18,400 verified-dealer listings) and cross-referenced with SIMI new-registration figures, AA Ireland fuel-price benchmarks, and SEAI used-EV grant data.

Five publishable headline findings are included with sources and year-on-year movement. The full methodology paragraph in the README documents outlier filtering (3-sigma rule on price-vs-mileage clusters per make/model/year), the snapshot approach, and limitations.

All figures are asking prices, not transaction prices. Actual transactions typically settle 3 to 7 percent below asking on dealer sales and 2 to 4 percent below on private sales.

This is the inaugural issue of an ongoing quarterly series. Q3 2026 is scheduled for early August 2026 and will be deposited under a separate DOI; the Q2 record can be referenced as the first in the lineage.
