Geogenic soil CO2 flux in a restricted extent close to a CO2-rich groundwater well in a tectonically quiescent area

Soil CO2 flux was investigated in a limited extent close to a CO2-rich groundwater well in a tectonically quiescent area by the accumulation chamber method using both LI-COR 8100A (LI-COR Inc., Lincoln, Nebraska, USA) and EGM-5 portable CO2 gas analyzer (PP Systems, Amesbury, Massachusetts, USA). Performance of the two devices was compared by simultaneously measuring soil CO2 flux at several points of geogenic and biogenic CO2 origin using both instruments.
