W.F. Sheahan was Attorney General from 14 February 1953 to 15 March 1956. The first bundle consists of correspondence, newspaper clippings and reports on the Finlay case, 1954-56. Mr W. Finlay, a Magistrate sitting at Adelong on 24 November 1955 publicly accused The Hon. W.F. Sheahan, the then Attorney General, of political interference in his Court.
