A price survey conducted on the 100g of tuna (katsuo) across all supermarkets nationwide revealed that the average price in October 2016 was 225 yen. Within the period from January 2015 to October 2016 (a span of 16 months), the highest price for tuna (katsuo) was recorded in April 2015 at 247 yen, while the lowest price was observed in July 2015 at 192 yen. The price difference between the peak (April 2015) and trough (July 2015) of the highest and lowest prices of tuna (katsuo) across the national area was 54.5535 yen.
